Grand Reopening

It has been a LONG time coming, but this past weekend Iron Horse Golf Course opened all 18 holes for the first time in over 10 months! It is a huge accomplishment to be sure and there are too many people to thank; but we all invested our blood, sweat, and tears into this project for you! So from us here at Iron Horse, thank you for sticking with us and we hope your next round of golf is enjoyed on the same greens and fairways we call home! 


Iron Horse Golf Course Completes $3 Million Renovation

Iron Horse Golf Course—the popular 18-hole municipal course owned by the city of North Richland Hills, Texas, and managed by Arcis Golf—will formally re-open to the public Saturday, Sept. 19, following an extensive $3 million renovation.

The Iron Horse Golf Course renovation, which was overseen by Jeff Brauer, a noted golf course architect based in nearby Arlington, included:

We are in the process of completing substantial work on holes 1-6 and are looking to open those holes for public play starting Monday, June 15th. In the event we are able to open sooner than that, we certainly will! The Iron Horse staff cannot wait to see everyone back out!

Thank you for your patience during the past several weeks while we seized this opportunity of full closure to improve not just the course, but the clubhouse as well. Although work is still going on in the clubhouse and on the golf course, over the next few weeks we will be working to reopen what we can.  We are looking at May 11th to open the driving range with increased cleaning and sanitation methods and reduced hitting stations to continue to comply with social distancing guidelines.

Temporary Closure

 Iron Horse Golf Course will be closed to the public until further notice. This includes the golf course, range, and clubhouse. Course conditions and status of the Coronavirus will be considered before the decision to open is made. Stay tuned for further updates.  


Testing the Drains

Well this week has brought quite a bit of rain and with it, a chance to see some of the new changes in action! Below are a few pictures of new drain lines on holes 3 and 4. Although not complete, the fact that water is collecting around these pipes means they are positioned correctly and once these areas are sodded and the grates put in, the water will funnel precisely as designed.
