Thank you for your patience during the past several weeks while we seized this opportunity of full closure to improve not just the course, but the clubhouse as well. Although work is still going on in the clubhouse and on the golf course, over the next few weeks we will be working to reopen what we can. We are looking at May 11th to open the driving range with increased cleaning and sanitation methods and reduced hitting stations to continue to comply with social distancing guidelines. Once the clubhouse renovation has been completed we will look to open the first 6 holes for play while complying with social distancing guidelines as they stand at the time. The tentative date for this currently is June 1st.
Clubhouse update – 30 days into the project, most of the exterior has been completed with new landscaping and paint. Inside, all the floors and walls have been stripped and are in the process of being replaced. Over the next few weeks we look to complete the dining room portion of the renovation and then move to the proshop for the final stages of the project. This facelift will make for a much more inviting look overall while also making the interior more functional.
Course update – work is being completed at a feverish pace. On holes 1-6 we are working to train down the new sod to the different desired rough and fairway heights and lowering green collars for better water flow and turf health. On holes 7-11 we are installing irrigation mainline, finishing drainage, leveling selected tees, and putting in new cart path in selected areas. On holes 12-17 we are completing irrigation laterals and installation of heads, pouring the new redirected cart paths, as well as preparing the 2 new green complexes for sprigging later in May.
The next 30-60 days are critically important for this project as all things will be coming together and being completed before major grassing starts in June and early July.
