The City of North Richland Hills and Arcis Golf have partnered with Golfscapes, Inc and Fleetwood Services to bring about much needed improvements to one of the most celebrated municipal golf courses in the area. The project will look to reduce flooding impact through improved surface drainage and strategic mounding and excavation. Also within the project the course will have reduced and renovated sand bunkers, leveling of tees, as well as a new irrigation system for sections B and C. With an eye to the future of the game, Iron Horse is also putting in a new set of Apprentice tees with a course distance around 4,000 yds. The scope of this project is quite large and will take several months to complete. Starting in November and continuing through August, golfers can expect less than 18 holes to be open as the project makes its way sequentially throughout the course. The range is not a part of this project and will remain open throughout the entire duration with the exception of normal closures due to weather. Below you can access certain project documents and get a glimpse of what is to come.
